A dad at 50

In the early hours of this morning, my 50 year old sibling, and his 25 year old wife, became parents for the first time.

Eveyone in the family are pleased, of course. The parents are ecstatic as you can imagine.

There are several late babies, in our family - where the mum's were 42 - 44 years old, at the time of giving birth.

One sibling had a baby on the same day her own daughter gave birth to her own baby.

Outsiders have often congratulated 'nana' or 'granddad', when a new baby is spotted - unbeknownst to them that the 'oldie' is the actual parent!

How old were you, when the stork delivered your first born or your last baby?

Have there been any twins, triplets or babies born on the same day as another member of the family?

Feel free to share!

none of that, no multiples, no one really younger/older, and no large families - or not since the 1800s. Reply

First of all, congrats to the new parents and God bless them and the baby :) Actually, I was not 19 when my first son was born and before I was 23 I had my second son. And yes talking of both our families, there have been many babies, two sets of twins but no triplets, that have been born on the same day in both our families to our cousins and aunts - since both of us come from large joint families :) Reply
