How long before the glass ceiling is removed?

I saw this today, and was stunned! Did any of you know this fact? It reminds me of the film, "Hidden Figures", if any of you have seen it. If you haven't... do yourself a favour, and see it!

So many hidden features, that you need to watch closely, like pigenon holes, where they can put paper work through to the elected members

Not sure what you where watching my immediate reaction was that they did not have women's loo's till the new Parliament house was built as having women in there was a Political Accident where someone who didn't want women voting also added just to make sure that they would not get the vote that they could also stand for election. The reason being that while Women's voting may have got across the line in his view the idea of women in parliament as Elected Representatives would be immediately laughed at and thrown out. It wasn't thrown out but very well was probably laughed at and it has stood ever since.
As prior to that women could not stand for election it makes perfect sense that they did not have women's toilets as there where no women in parliament when the original Parliament House was built.

So when the first ladies elected to Federal Parliament in the 1940s had to make a decision they had nothing much to go on?
