Our question this week is: Do you think fast-food companies should be allowed to sponsor sporting events? Why or why not?

Ground Rules: Open to AU and NZ members only. Each week, the TolunaTeamAUNZ will create a topic on the AU and NZ sites regarding a specific theme, and ask members to provide their opinion. Three winners will be selected from each Australia and New Zealand to win 3,000 points. Winners will be chosen at random from all eligible posts. Everyone enjoys good sports event with a bit of a spoiling for the senses and usually that's fast food.
My personal opinion is - yes, it's okay for fast food companies to be sponsors. What is not okay is when people mistake fast food with every day food!

i think they should be aloud to sponser sporting events. especially if its local or community wise. even the country sporting teams. its good to have support and sponsers within the local communities

definitely yes.... as long as they promote and provide healthy foods in their establishment, there is nothing wrong in sponsoring ang sporting event..

Yes. What they are selling is perfectly legal and a product used by most people in the general public. If we don't like to consume fast food then we can choose not to buy from these businesses.

I don't think it is ideal, although more and more business are starting to cut out sponsorship so it is going to become harder to find an appropriate sponsor. Fast Food companies that have healthy options could work as they are encouraging the healthy eating.

Yes as they bring in more money for our economy when oversea visitors associate that with tge team and they try it when they cone over to new zealand. specifically speaking
